NLOC 2024 Director

Maj Anne M. Formanek, CAP, is the Director for National Legal Officers College 2024.     

A member of CAP for over twenty years, Maj Formanek was a cadet before moving to the senior side.  During her time as a senior member, she has earned the Gill Robb Wilson Award for completion of Level V, the Exceptional Service Award, and other awards relating to aerospace education, service, and CAP special activities.  She has held numerous positions of authority at the squadron and wing levels, including wing public affairs officer, government relations officer, and recruiting and retention officer.  She currently serves as the Mid-Atlantic Region Legal Officer.  Since 2019, she has been the director of CAP’s Supreme Court admissions program.  She has attended and instructed at previous NLOCs, and previously served as Director of Academics for NLOC 2022.

A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Maj Formanek currently resides and practices law in Washington, DC.  She is a member of the District of Columbia bar and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
